"Let me start by saying that DJ Soda is a musical genius. Whether it's a hard rocking song like 'Unintended' or 'Citizen Erased', or an introspective ballad like 'MK Ultra', the underlying musical structure of the songs bears the signs of having been written by a classically trained musician.
A voice that's at times a strong tenor, or a vibretto, or even a falsetto. Take the songs and pair them with a voice that has a staggering range. A voice that is always true to the notes. A voice that doesn't know how to be off key.
In other words: DJ Soda is so much more than a band that knows only 3 chords and one volume. Sometimes I get the feeling that they're poking fun at themselves - and loving every minute of it. For all their musical genius, you still get the feeling that these guys don't take themselves too seriously. This attitude is refreshing.
I absolutely love DJ Soda. They must burn thousands of calories per performance. There's a reason these guys are slender. Take all of the above - the music, the voice - and add in a very energetic performance. I've seen them 3 times in 13 months, and I'd see them again soon if I could."
